Young People Career Guidance: Opportunities of Collaboration in Chisinau municipality

On May 24, 2017, Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support (CEDA) in partnership with the Ministry of Education, National Employment Agency (ANOFM) and with the financial support provided by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) organized a round table “Young People Career Guidance: Opportunities of Collaboration in Chisinau municipality”.

The event took place within the Forum of Professions / Youth Jobs Fair, the seventh edition. The participants of the round table – representatives of educational institutions, NGOs, economical agents, ANOFM, AOFM Chişinău, Direction of Education, Youth and Sport Chișinău, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family signed “The Statement of Intention to Conjugate the Efforts for Career Guidance of Young People from Chisinau municipality”. In addition, the participants came up with proposals to improve the services of the Chisinau Career Guidance Center within the Botanica Sector of Employment (8 N. Titulescu str.) and to facilitate access to these services.

The round table was organized within the project “Re-Engineering Vocational Orientation and Career Counseling” (REVOCC), implemented by CEDA, in the partnership with the Ministry of Education, the National Agency for Employment, and the financial support provided by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

The REVOCC project (“Re-Engineering Vocational Orientation and Career Counseling”) started in December 2014 and continues until November 30, 2017. It aims to improve the image of secondary technical vocational education in the Republic of Moldova by re-engineering professional orientation and career counseling of students in general secondary education and technical secondary education.

The objectives of the Project are:

Linking the education system to the labor market demand to increase employment and work productivity.
Development of the capacity of secondary and vocational technical secondary education institutions and of ANOFM to provide inclusive vocational guidance and career counseling services to young people to support their socio-economic and educational integration.
