On September 24, 2020, a set of equipment was sent to the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), the use of which will contribute to the high-quality provision of career guidance services to the unemployed, job seekers and students in the education system.

Context of the event: Since the beginning of the REVOCC II project, ANOFM has accumulated some positive experience in the development and provision of career guidance services in three career guidance centers opened under the Territorial Employment Offices (STO) in Chisinau, Soroca and Cahul. Subsequently, 17 STOs were equipped with equipment for career guidance services. A new batch of equipment that will be sent to ANOFM (laptops, electronic platforms for career guidance, computer cameras, microphones, headphones, etc.) is intended to expand similar services in 15 other regions of the country.

The event was attended by representatives of ANOFM, the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and the Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Business Support (CEDA).

“A successful career is a long-term investment in ensuring a quality life for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. That is why it is important to help young people choose the right profession and become successful people in their chosen field. This is possible thanks to the support of the Austrian Development Agency from the Austrian Development Cooperation funds. Thus, in each district of the Republic of Moldova, at the headquarters of the Territorial Employment Units, those who wish will be able to test their abilities, skills and will be able to decide in which field / profession they are suitable, and if they have already made this decision, they will be able to determine they should to do this in order to become recognized professionals in the chosen field ”, – emphasized Mr. Lia Sklifos, Manager of REVOCC II, CEDA.

“The development of career guidance services greatly contributes to identifying opportunities for the educational and professional integration of job seekers, students of gymnasiums, secondary schools, young people in order to increase their employment, including the prevention of unemployment. Career guidance is an ongoing process, and the main goal of the Career Guidance Centers is in providing information and career guidance services to facilitate the process of social, economic and educational integration of clients, ”said Raisa Dogaru, Director of ANOFM.

The main results announced during the event are as follows:

The event is part of the Rethinking Career Guidance and Career Consulting (REVOCC II) project implemented by the Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support (CEDA) in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) and the National Employment Agency.
