On 16-18 January 2014, the NGO “MOLDSOLIDARITATE” in partnership with the Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support (CEDA), organized a training on leadership and entrepreneurial skills development within “Roma women first step in ascension ” project.
The training was attended by 15 Roma girls aged 16-20 years and 3 women- community mediators from the regions: Chisinau, Hincesti, Parcani, Mingir, Cărpineni, Străşeni, Drochia. The peer to peer training focused on the exercise of developing a business plan based on an idea selected by the team. To structure the plan, participants received basic information about the following concepts:
Basics of Entrepreneurship
Business SWOT Analysis
Microeconomics
Marketing
Management
Presentation Skills
Business Plan Structure
After initiation in key concepts, participants worked in groups to develop their business ideas. Group work, that involved finding a common idea and distribution of tasks, was a challenge that pulled them out from their comfort zone. Interactive sessions allowed participants to understand the structure of the business plan and to assimilate the information easier.
The training was held at the recreation resort “Bucuria” from Vadul lui Voda.
